Sharon Obiye, MSW, RSW
Certified Social Worker, Psychotherapist
I’m a Registered Social Worker with both the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, and the Alberta College of Social Workers. With a Master’s degree in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and over seven years of frontline and leadership experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge in social services, child welfare, and psychotherapy.
My career has been dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families — ensuring safety, wellbeing, and independence. I am deeply passionate about advocating for marginalized communities, addressing systemic barriers, and mentoring professionals to provide care that is equitable and culturally responsive.
As someone who migrated to Canada more than 15 years ago, I personally understand the challenges of navigating a new culture while holding onto personal, family, and cultural values. These lived experiences shape the empathy and respect I bring into every session.
Today, I offer therapy that is client‑centered, culturally safe, and aligned with your values. My diverse background allows me to connect with individuals from all walks of life, creating a safe space where you feel seen, heard, and supported.
